Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.
According to the SDGs Special Report Edition 2023, a woman dies every two minutes from preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth. 25 million children missed out on important routine immunizations in 2021 due to poor access to healthcare.
I have seen pregnant mothers die leaving their babies behind because of extreme poverty, poor healthcare, and lack of certified qualified caregivers. We believe in a world where people of all ages, especially women and children, can have access to good healthcare and become physically and mentally healthy.
This section of the empowerment initiative seeks to partner with the SDGs to reduce the global maternity mortality ratio, end deaths of newborns and children through preventive measures, educate people on epidemics like AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, and other communicable diseases, reduce deaths from non-communicable diseases, strengthen prevention and treatment of substance abuse, ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive healthcare services/workshops, and organize medical outreaches both at community and state levels.

The target for this goal is to transform communities, villages, individuals, families, groups, and teams through our extensive outreaches of both medical and health-educational approaches. We partner with the Ministry of Health and train volunteer community leaders on how to provide basic check-up routines such as blood pressure, temperature, blood sugar, and children’s growth monitoring. We also provide counseling to pregnant and young mothers in villages to ensure continuous monitoring of their health and that of their newborns.
It is not enough to just organize medical outreaches where immediate medical needs are met — we also train local leaders to foster continuity, ensuring healthcare access becomes sustainable at the community level.
