Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.

The picture above speaks volumes about our passion to change the narrative of girl-child inequality and transform their lives through quality education and skills empowerment. We have successfully taken girls off the street and from restrictions to staying at home just because their families felt it was more important to educate their male children instead.

Our focus is on making sure that these girls are given a voice, understand the power of self-worth, self-esteem, self-identity, and most importantly, having a growth/great mindset about life generally.

Gender inequalities are still deep-rooted in every society. Young ladies and women suffer from a lack of access to decent work and face occupational segregation and gender wage gaps. In many situations, they are denied access to basic education and health care and are victims of violence and discrimination. They are underrepresented in political and economic decision-making processes.

Our goal is to ensure that the role of women and the need for their equal participation and leadership in all areas of development in their various communities and spheres of contact is reaffirmed both now and in the future we hope for.

SDG 5: Gender Equality

THE SDG-5 WORK PLAN

The target for this goal is in three different levels:

  • Academic, Sex, Social Education Plan Level: to overcome teenage pregnancies for teenage girls between the ages of 13 and 17 years. Here we secure their education, ensure we get them off the streets, pay their school fees, and provide yearly scholarships.
  • Mindset Transformation Mentorship Level: for girls between 13–22 years. We effectively host a series of group mentorship workshops/webinars focused on ensuring holistic self-transformation and mindset shifts. Girls are given a voice to stand against child marriage, violence, gender-based discrimination, female infanticide, rape, female genital mutilation (FGM), and harmful practices. Active partnerships with other gender-based organizations will be used to integrate sustainability into higher education.
  • Skill and Business Empowerment: from a very young teenage age, girls are taught how to become immersed in business through our Young Chef Culinary Program. The picture shows young teenage girls following their passion for cooking and selling, while being taught how to turn it into a business.
